We are a husband and wife team, Ed and Gemma, who were inspired to start up our little business after a desire to inject some luxury into the 'outdoor' lifestyle!

Despite the fact we live in the urban sprawl in the Midlands, we love camping and picnicking and generally getting back to nature! Ed dragged me kicking and screaming on a camping trip, early in our relationship. Despite my initial reaction (what no hair straighteners!), I absolutely loved the tranquillity and was hooked. Who are you and what do you do?

We are Wedding Bells, by Strawberry Hills and we sell and hire our canvas bell tents, which look beautiful decked out in bunting, lanterns and sheepskins. They can be used for many, many things. We can set the tents up to sleep all of the brides best friends on her hen night or create a wedding festival for unique guest accommodation. A bell tent can even be used as a little creche area for the wedding day….. the possibilities are endless… and we love our brides and grooms to get creative! We also sell lots of beautiful outdoor accessories such as lanterns, baskets and bunting to help couples create a stylish and unique wedding !

If you weren’t doing what you are, what do you think you would you be doing?

Well, a dream would be to create and run a glamping haven on a beautiful private island, to create a stunning honeymoon destination….. Unfortunately our very own island doesn’t seem to have come our way, so for now helping brides and grooms create something a little bit different for their wedding celebration sounds good to us! Canvas bell tents have been around for centuries, but the Strawberry Hills tents are modern day versions…retaining the vintage look, but they have been treated to be completely waterproof and with plastic groundsheets that keep moisture and bugs out. This is luxurious camping at its best!
